Days 5-13: Austria

Well, I've been out of the blog world for a bit, my computer's charge chord stopped working for some unknown reason, so i went out today and bought a new one, and now i am at Tribeka, a coffee shop in downtown Graz. I think I will leave tommorrow and hit Budapest. Unfortunately, I think I've stayed too long in Austria to make it all the way to greece, but that's ok, there will be more to see. Anyway, the last week and a half i have been with my cousin, his wife, and their 2 kids. I've taken a few trips to various Austrian cities and also taken a couple days and just chilled with the kids and the family. I've decided to start collecting tea where i can find it. Got some organic, fair trade, English breakfast tea the other day. And I've discovered that a Gyro is a terriffic, cheap, delicious lunch. Interesting to see how different places make it. I think I've had about 6 or 7 different Gyros (or Kebap as it is referred to here) around Europe and the best has been at the Umut in Zwingenberg, followed closely by the EuroDoner in Graz. Anyway, I am gonna check out the art building for a minute, and maybe grab a Gyro from a place Jason told me about. It's right next to a store that sells all American Products like mountain dew, cheezit, lucky charms, red bull, and a bunch of stuff you can't usually get here. I might check that out, but most likely not. Well, I have finished my coffee and I'm outta here. Song of the day: Use It by TNP. Anyway, stay tuned, I'll get better at this blog thing.

Day 2-4: Frankfurt, Zwingenberg

Finally an internet connection!  Anyway, the past 3 days I've been in the area of Frankfurt, got in safely on the 16th even though my guitar got delayed in Charlotte.  Anyway, i got it back yesterday and now i have yet another thing to occupy my time.  I also bought Dan Brown's Angel's and Demons, good book, great reading material for long train trips.  Speaking of, I'm about to get on a train to Graz, Austria to hang with the cousin.  10 hour trip.  Good thing i have stuff to do and eat.  I found a good Gyro the other day too down the road from the youth hostle.  Anyway, my trains almost here so I'm gonna pack up and get ready to go, keep checking up, I'll upload some pictures to facebook so you can see where I am.  I miss you all.

Day 1: Fun at the Airport

Hello all, welcome to Dan's European Blog.  Today i spent most of my time at the airport.  My first flight on US airways got cancelled then i was transferred to a different US airways flight and the plane we were supposed to take wouldn't be at the airport until 4:50 and wouldn't get in until 9:30, unfortunately my connecting flight out of Charlotte was set to leave an hour before that.  So I had to stand in line for an hour or so and get transferred to a direct flight to Frankfurt at 5:15.  So now i am sitting at gate A43 and waiting to get out of here and off to Europe.  The nice thing about the whole fiasco is that I got a few meal vouchers out of it so i get to eat at the airport for free.  Panda Express for dinner!!  Anyway, this is where I'll be posting the epic tales of my journeys, so stay tuned for way more exciting posts than a day at the airport.
